Club Supported Four-Legged Flood Victims

Rotary Club of Slidell celebrated National Dog Day by donating cash and dog food to St. Tammany Humane Society August 26. Rotary President Joan Archer asked club members for assistance for the no-kill shelter, which was overwhelmed by animals from neighboring shelters that were flooded. 

The response of members was generous. Rotary board member Ken Thompson delivered the donations to C.E.O Scott Bernier who was very appreciative.

This is one of three projects planned to help our neighbors who were decimated by the floods.
