Keep Slidell Beautiful needs 1-3 volunteers to help with the monthly glass recycling project - second Saturday of every month. The containers are now located behind the gates of Public Operations on Bayou Lane (between W. Hall and W. Pennsylvania).
Volunteers will help set up prior to start of event, direct cars from Bayou Lane into the facility and help unload glass into the dumpster. Let us know in the Comments of your registration which hours you can volunteer!
Accepted:
Container glass (all colors)
Drinking glasses
Empty candle jars (please remove all wax residue)
Clear, flat glass panes
Frosted glass
Not Accepted:
Lightbulbs
Windows, mirrors, and tabletops
Pyrex bakeware
Windshields and other laminated glass
Tempered glass
Plexiglass and acrylic glass
Ceramic, porcelain, and crystal
Cardboard boxes cannot be accepted.
