The Slidell Heritage Festival celebrated its 25th year at Heritage Park with fun, food and fireworks as well as music from Amanda Shaw with special guest Choppa.  The event culminated in a fabulous headline performance by local band, Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee and recording artist Zebra, featuring all 3 original band members:  Randy Jackson, Felix Hanemann, and Guy Gelso.

Stories about the event were featured in the St. Tammany Farmer newspaper, District 6840's newsletter, and the Slidell Independent (see below).

The event is put on by the Rotary Club of Slidell and the Rotary Club of Slidell North Shore and takes hundreds of hours of planning and volunteering!  Proceeds benefit charities chosen by the Heritage Foundation annually as well as the various charities supported by the two Rotary clubs throughout the year.  The Foundation is comprised of equal members from both Rotary clubs.  Below are (standing) Ron Davis, Doyle Freeman, Aaron Hirsch, Pat Burke, Troy Brownfield, Mark Ricard and Kenny Breaux.  Seated are Barbara Doyle, Tanya Witchen, Sharron Norman and Michelle Chappuis.

The Heritage Festival is a widely anticipated and well-supported annual event in the community.
