Rotary Club of Slidell members served at United Way's annual East St. Tammany Red Beans and Rice Cookoff, which was back to being an in-person event after being drive-through ONLY the last 2 years due to COVID.
Also, congratulations to our own Dave Martin whose company, Southern Ambit Insurance, won First Place Dessert!
Past President Linda Larkin (her company, Patriot Title was also a sponsor) and club members Mark and Dede Ricard worked the United Way East St. Tammany Red Beans and Rice Cookoff held in Slidell on August 1, 2022 at the Slidell Auditorium. Club member Trey Brownfield also served as a Judge. Drive-through and Take-out dinners were still available - Mark and Dede served as Drive-Thru runners.
The annual event raises funds for suicide prevention, mental health services, and other United Way programs serving St. Tammany Parish and was very well-attended!
