The Rotary Club of Slidell is proud to join the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce as a member and participated in the Fan-Up Tailgate Party and Pep Rally on Thursday, August 15. The event was a ton of fun for all with numerous games and, of course, many Saints superfans in attendance!
Our club’s food kept with the theme – Pigs-in-a-Blanket and cocktail meatballs – and featured a game of paper flicker football, complete with a goal post and cheering crowd designed by club member Pam Breaux! The players were Rotary District 6840’s Lake Territory Blue Crabs.
We made fans of many local dignitaries, all of whom enjoyed the competition of our paper football game.
Parish President Mike Cooper
Slidell Chief of Police Randy Fandal
Slidell Mayoral candidate Bill Borchart
We awarded prizes to the top three participants with the highest number of goals: Bill Borchart, Randy Fandal, and Adam Willis.

The Rotary Club of Slidell meets Fridays at noon at NOLA Southern Grill’s Lagniappe Room for lunch, to hear speakers, and to plan service projects that benefit our local community. We look forward to participating in future Chamber events! Guests are always invited to attend our meetings.
