The first Rotary District 6840 Family Fun Day, held at McLeod Park in Kiln, MS on Saturday, August 24, 2024 truly lived up to its promise of FUN! Each territory was encouraged to wear their team shirts and a rainbow of hues were represented, including YELLOW from members of the Lake Territory’s Slidell, Slidell Northshore, and Northlake-Mandeville clubs.
The District provided hamburgers and hot dogs, and individual territories supplied setups (paper and condiments) along with a plethora of side dishes and desserts. A band played for our entertainment and we had an entire pavilion for shade, along with many canopies brought by individuals. Adults relaxed in the shade, while the kids had a blast on the splash pad and resulting mud river!
It was indeed a great day to be a Rotarian and get to socialize with our families! Thanks District Governor Sam Walley for the fabulous fun day!
