About our  Club
The Rotary Club of Slidell was formed in 1963 and has touched the community and the world in many ways since.  The club helped to rebuild local non-profits after Hurricane Katrina, donated and planted trees around Slidell, donated a pond to the city and provided Narcan to schools for use in case of opioid overdoses.  We support local non-profits with profits from the Slidell Heritage Fest, a fundraiser produced in conjunction with another Rotary Club.

Each year, the club awards scholarships to deserving community-minded students, recognizes a Rotarian of the Year - someone who has gone above and beyond - and a non-Rotarian community member for their service above self to the community. Internationally, the club has supported an orphanage in Uganda where children live whose parents died of AIDS, helping to build a kitchen and provide school supplies.  In the past, members have hosted foreign exchange students in their homes.  The club has provided shoes for children in Africa, helped to fund medical and educational trips to third world countries and supported Shelter Box providing temporary shelter to those affected by disasters.

This is only a sampling of the impact the Rotary Club of Slidell  has had.  We are a dynamic club composed of community members who are dedicated to making a difference in our community and the world.  We invite you to attend one of our meetings and learn more about the Rotary Club of Slidell.
